Our game this year uses a great game by a game designer who continues to bring innovation to our hobby. Jake has created during his time in the game industry from the 1980s onwards. With a portfolio spanning from Warhammer 6th edition, Blood Bowl, Necromunda and Mordheim, to Dungeon Saga, Dreadball, Deadzone and Bolt Action.
Mars Attacks: The Miniatures Game is a tabletop miniature wargame based on the Mars Attacks Trading card series released by Topps in 1962 and the 1996 film by Tim Burton. We’ve 3 games for you to play; side by side on the same table.
Calamity at First Contact - Area 51 Mars Attacks!
Our homage to the old Movies, UFOs and a spin of the famous First Contact scene in Tim Burton’s pulp sci fi film Mars Attacks! Martians and flying saucers will take on little green plastic US army men with poly Patton Tanks and Dinky jeeps.
Robots on the Run - Mars Attacks!
1990’s invasion of small town USA with all the miniatures from Jake’s game; and the many painted miniatures that various Warlords have from those ‘all in’ purchases of the games’ Kickstarter campaign. If you can yodel, come and stop the Martians trashing our trailer park.
On Martian Soil - Mars Attacked!
The Empire strikes back A homage to Victorian Science Fiction gaming with Martians given a reverse War of the Worlds feel in a Space 1889 setting; a thin red line with laser rifles, a steam tank and a naval Flyer attempts to hold back the Barsoomian tide. Martians Sah! Fahsands of ‘em.
