FAQs
Is there PARKING?
Yes, and if you are a games club, the South London Warlords will reimburse your parking for one vehicle parked at the ExCel!
Pre-booking is the only way to guarantee a space in the car park at the venue. The car park is designed for vehicles up to a maximum of 1.9m height, although there are a limited number of spaces for vehicles up to 2.8m.
Pre-booking for SALUTE will not open until 4 weeks before the event. Ignore references to 'event codes' you may encounter. Book here.
What time should I arrive?
By vehicle:
We expect to open the halls for you to start setting up at 12:30 on the Friday. That is subject to how our setup goes and signoffs by Excel. You must be out of the hall by 16:45.
The halls are secured and security teams in place overnight on the 11th.
We open access for exhibitors no later than 07:15 and all Vehicles must be out by 0930. Show opens at 10:00.
We will be inviting vehicles to queue in the adjacent hall from after 16:00 to allow a faster break down after we close at 17:00.
We marshal traffic in set up and break down, and run a one way system. This has proven to be the fastest way to achieve breakdown for all. Please be patient and obey our marshal directions.
By foot:
Pedestrian contractor access is by the Contractor Door from the public boulevard, (exact location tbc). This will be open to you on the Friday from 12:30-16:45, and on the Saturday from 07:15-09:45 and then 17:00-19:00.
Any wristbands will be picked up at this pedestrian entrance.
What about tables and chairs?
As the stands are not marked out on the floor, each stand is given at least one table which is used to define your space. If you don’t need this table, please collapse it down and put it with others to be collected by our event volunteers.
If you need more tables, you can always grab those not needed by other exhibitors and extra tables and chairs can be found at the corners of the convention hall.
Please take care to set up within your purchased space, especially where you are using own kit and not our tables. Please engage proactively with your neighbours during setup and, if you are arriving to set up earlier, please do not impinge on spaces that are empty.
Do we get a goodie bag?
All Members of a Club running a game will be able to collect an official SALUTE Goodie Bag and mug from our info stand.
We also give out 100 Trader Stand Bags (max 1 per trader) on a first come first serve basis at the info stand. You can add items into these bags for other Traders - find out more here.
