SALUTE
DRESSED TO
IMPRESS
What is Dressed to Impress?
Whether dedicated to historically accurate re-enactment, or donning a creative cosplay of the sci-fi or fantastical - many folks love to attend SALUTE in costume. In some cases our visitors make a special effort to match the theme of the event, and for that: “we SALUTE you!”
We are often asked if we run a “costume competition”, but this isn’t something our volunteers can always achieve on the day. This year, we’re instead aiming to run a “costume cavalcade” at our main stage area as a celebration of this craft.
Those wishing to get photographed by our official photographer can meet other enthusiastic visitors, using the set and props adorning our stage area as a thematic background for your pictures. If you are wanting to see what some of our wargaming miniatures would look like at “life size” then pop along and celebrate with the rest of us!
Dressed to Impress will be taking place at 3pm at the main stage area.
Important notes:
Re-enactors cannot bring replica weapons to this event without having the proper accommodations in place and must get express written prior permission from our team. Health and safety always comes first! We also wish to remind everyone that SALUTE is a family friendly event, so all attire should reflect that ethos.
